Overhead view of a major car accident and a clean up crew.Martinsburg, WV (May 18, 2019) – Yesterday, around 4:25 a.m., police responded to the scene of a two-truck crash that led to injuries to one party. This West Virginia truck accident was investigated by State Police.

The accident was so severe, according to authorities, that it blocked all northbound lanes of I-81 for approximately three hours. Police claim that one of the tractor-trailers, which was driven by Robert Lee McDowell, ran into the rear end of the other truck, driven by Arshdeep Singh.

The accident caused such force that the second tractor-trailer rolled over, causing large amounts of debris to scatter across the roadway.

McDowell was badly injured and flown to the hospital by medical helicopter for treatment. Unfortunately, his condition is not known at this time. Singh, on the other hand, was not injured.

The West Virginia State Police continue their investigation at this time.

Our sincerest thoughts are extended to the injured party in this accident.
