Morgantown, WV – Winston-Salem Couple Loses Lives in Fatal Accident
Morgantown, WV (December 7, 2018) – A couple lost their lives in a fatal accident that took place this past week. They were identified as Ghazi and Donnis Sakran.
The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office said that the couple was driving along in a vehicle in the northbound lanes of Interstate 79 when the accident took place. The Sakrans’ vehicle, for reasons that are not yet known, crossed the median and struck another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. The driver in the other vehicle did not have injuries.
Both Sakrans died at the scene of the accident. Police say that the couple had been married for 59 years and were extremely devoted to their community, Ghazi working in child development and Donnis as a director of patient services.
Police continue the circumstances of the accident.
