Ranson, WV 5-Year-Old Dies Following Serious Accident on Route 9

Damaged front end of Mazda convertibleRanson, WV (February 9, 2019) – This past week, a 5-year-old girl was critically injured in a serious car accident on Route 9. Police have confirmed that she passed away due to her injuries.

Police responded to the intersection of Route 9 and Flowing Springs Road around 8:30 p.m. on the night in question to find that two cars collided, leading to serious results.

One vehicle was carrying the 5-year-old, her mother, and a 16-year-old. They were entering into the intersection when another vehicle suddenly slammed into them.

The child was rushed to the hospital but she tragically passed away while there. The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
