St. Albans, WV – Woman Loses Life to Vehicle in Pedestrian Accident
St. Albans, WV (November 30, 2018) – This week, a woman tragically lost her life in a serious pedestrian accident in St. Albans when she was suddenly struck by a vehicle. The accident took place on MacCorkle Avenue around 6:15 p.m. on the night in question.
The pedestrian was identified as 56-year-old Tina Ballard, according to the St. Albans Police, who investigated the scene. The accident took place near the Little Caesar’s in the area.
The accident was deemed a hit-and-run. Police officers were on the lookout for a dark pickup truck, but then the suspect turned themselves in. The driver claimed that he knew he hit something but did not know that it was a person. The driver is currently cooperating in the investigation.
Police continue to take a closer look at how the accident occurred at this time.
