Wayne Stonestreet is a Mercer County Fiduciary Commissioner and has been with Katz, Kantor, Stonestreet & Buckner, PLLC, for more than 25 years. Originally from Cross Lanes, near Charleston, West Virginia, he has been a very active member of our community.
Wayne is married to his wonderful wife, Cindy, a teacher in Mercer County. They are proud parents of three sons, one is a doctor in Louisville, KY, one is a lawyer in Charleston, West Virginia, and one is in college. Wayne and his family are members of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, where he has served as Elder, as well as Trustee. His other contributions extend to participating in the Read Aloud Program, as counsel to the Community Foundation of the Virginias, as secretary/director of the Bluefield High School Foundation, as a 26 year member and past president of the Rotary Club of Bluefield, West Virginia, past president of the West Virginia Tax institute and various other groups and activities. Cindy participates on the Blue Mountain Fine Arts Committee, the Bluefield Arts Board and is Vice-President of Westminster Women’s Program.
A WVU fan and certainly community spirited, Wayne continues to contribute his many talents and efforts to making our town a better place to live. His practice areas are an essential ingredient to making Katz, Kantor, Stonestreet & Buckner a full service law firm.
Wayne graduated in 1973 from West Liberty State College with a B.S. degree in Accounting, attended West Virginia Law School from 1973 to 1976. He is admitted to the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia, to the U. S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia and to the U. S. Tax Court. In 1984, he attended University of Miami, in Florida, and in 1985, received his LL.M degree in Taxation.
