One Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 79

CrosswalkOn Wednesday afternoon, police claim that a fatal pedestrian accident took place in the northbound lanes of Interstate 79 in Weston. Police have since identified the pedestrian as 34-year-old David Blake of Weston. Blake was suddenly struck by a tractor-trailer around 12:42 p.m.

The accident allegedly took place in a work zone but police have said that it is not a construction site. Northbound traffic was backed up for about two hours in the area after the accident. The investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing at this time.
