Police say that one person was killed and two were injured in a fatal crash that involved two vehicles and took place on US-522. According to police, the car accident was deemed a head-on collision.
The accident took place around 11:29 a.m. on May 3rd. When officers initially arrived at the scene of the accident, they found that there were two heavily damaged pickup trucks on the scene, with one laying over completely.
Three victims had to be extricated from the rolled over vehicle. When one of the victims, a female, was extricated from the vehicle, she was quickly pronounced deceased. One male victim was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries while another was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
None of the parties involved in the accident were identified as of yet. The accident was investigated for two hours.
