Henderson, WV Severe Injuries Reported in Car Accident on US-35

White car with front end damage after a car accident being loaded onto a tow truck.Henderson, WV (May 11, 2019) – Police were called to the scene of a car accident that took place on Thursday on US-35 in Putnam County. The accident involved three vehicles and one person was left in serious condition.

According to the West Virginia State Police, three cars collided and one person was trapped inside their vehicle. When they were freed, they were transported to the hospital by paramedics with severe injuries.

Through their investigation, troopers found that a Dodge Ram had been traveling north on the highway when it suddenly slid into the southbound lanes for reasons that are not yet known. This caused the two other vehicles to crash, leaving serious damages.

The conditions of those involved in the crash are not known at this time. The driver of the Ram was issued a citation.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
